The Personal Finance Manager application for Microsoft Excel is designed to help you with personal financial management. It allows you to maintain an income/expenditure plan as detailed as you require. You can import your current account bank statements to the file. The application calculates your actual expenditure based on these statements. You can then analyse your expenditure (and income) against your plan, drill in to more detail and check the actual bank transactions by cost type and period.
The main dashboard will show you the key information you need to action in your personal finances. Quickly see which costs you are not managing, what you are spending without realising, which costs to target with internet searches (utility suppliers, mortgage, personal loans, credit cards providers, etc).
Why use this application to manage your finances? It uses a spreadsheet application that many people are familiar with. You only need to make simple one-time setups then quick monthly bank statement uploads before you can analyse your information. The application is simple to use, there are no complex investment, loan or net worth calculations.
